In 2015, the City of Vernon's 24th Avenue sidewalk project was complete and residents now have a safe walking route to town.
Our building arrangement with entrance doors nestled around a courtyard already provides a good amount of security, but there’s always room for improvement. This year we replaced all the wood balcony railings with aluminum. We also replaced all the fences around the building and added one additional fence line to discourage trespassing. We replaced all the exterior lighting in the carport and around the building with LED fixtures and bulbs to provide a brighter and cleaner light that will discourage theft. As well, we replaced all the front entry doors, windows and patio doors to provide additional security for our residents.
